On June 18, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. AQUAHOUSE Thermal & Beach will host the fourth edition of the Water Rescue Tournament for the St. St. Constantine and Helena Resort Cup—an event dedicated to the professionalism, quick response, and dedication of the people who ensure water safety every day.
The competition will take place in the complex’s semi-Olympic pool and will bring together professional lifeguards from beaches and pools across the country. Participants will demonstrate their skills, physical fitness, and readiness to respond in real-life rescue situations.
The tournament schedule includes:
- 4:00 p.m. – warm-up;
- 4:30 p.m. – official opening;
- 4:45 p.m. – first start.
The competition events are:
- 100-meter freestyle with fins;
- 50-meter manikin carry;
- 4 x 50-meter rescue buoy relay.
Following the conclusion of the competition, an official awards ceremony will be held to honor the top-performing participants and teams.
The main goal of the tournament is to promote the profession of lifeguard, to test the readiness and professional skills of the participants, and to create an opportunity for the exchange of specialized experience among lifeguards from across the country.
The event is jointly organized by the Municipality of Varna – Sports Directorate, the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC), and the resort of St. St. Constantine and Helena.
