On September 13, 2026 (Sunday), starting at 9:00 a.m., the 9th International Track and Field Race “Balkan Countries and Friends” will take place, bringing together children, young people, and running enthusiasts from Bulgaria and abroad. The race will start in front of the Astor Garden Hotel in the Sts. Constantine and Helena resort complex.
The race is part of a series of traditional sporting events that promote an active lifestyle, friendship among participants, and the development of track and field among young people. The event takes place during the Balkan Athletics Meetings in Varna and gives athletes from different age groups the opportunity to compete in a friendly and sporting atmosphere.
Schedule
The races will be held in the following age categories:
- Born in 2015 and younger - girls and boys - 600 meters;
- Born in 2013 and 2014 - girls and boys - 600 meters;
- Born in 2011 and 2012 - girls and boys - 1,200 meters;
- Born in 2009 and 2010 - girls and boys - 1,800 meters;
- Born in 2007 and 2008 - girls and boys - 1,800 meters;
- Adults - women and men - 1,800 / 2,400 meters.
